Transform your experience in the wilderness! Join Rachael Witt as she shares core skills of survival. In this course we will go over:

  • Shelter
  • Water
  • Edible and Medicinal Plants
  • Navigation
  • Naturalist Knowledge

Learn how to take care of your survival needs in the wilderness while deepening your relationship with nature. Come away with practical life-saving skills, know how to better prevent and prepare for emergencies and survivalist resources that can be shared with friends and families.

No pre-requisites necessary.

Materials Fee: $35 payable via cash or check on the first day of class to cover bow drill and herb making materials

Description

Teacher Bio: Rachael Witt

Rachael is a community herbalist, gardener and an ancestral skills teacher. She is the founder of Wildness Within; an herbal business that offers plant-based classes and workshops, hand-made products and herbal consultations. Rachael teaches primitive living and survival skills with Quiet Heart Wilderness School in Edmonds, WA and also adult programs, such as the Wild Plant Intensive and Survival Basics, with the Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall, WA. She has a degree in Ecology and Evolution Biology with an emphasis in Plant Ecology and a Certificate as a Professional Herbalist with the East West Planetary Herb School. Rachael is passionate about connecting people with place. Her intention is to educate people how to not only survive, yet thrive in the wilderness. She is excited to share tips and tricks of how to gather skills and know-how for when a catastrophe hits.
